Step 1

Lay out you area so you can see how your new Grassy Pavers will go in.

Excavate planned area for grass pavers.

Step 3

Place Sub base material. Note: If placing grass pavers in an existing area, you will need to excavate down several inches to allow the base and Grassy Pavers to come back up to grade level (top of the soil line). The next series of photos is from a new construction site and fill and sod are used, it shows well the install steps.  If you are planning to seed or sod over the grass pavers you will need to have 1 to 2 inches of soil over the base before you place your Grassy Pavers (see detail). This allow for plenty of root zone for the grass.

Step 4

Place pavers. Layout the Grassy Pavers in a pattern (see link for detail) that allows the seems to stager like a tile floor. This creates a better and stronger install of your grass pavers.

Step 5

Fill Pavers. You can fill your Grassy Pavers with top soil then seed or sod over, or you can fill the grassy pavers with regular or decorative gravel.
